Advertising Disclosure

Last updated: 23 April 2026

Gov Petitions may display advertising and sponsorship placements to fund hosting, moderation, security, development, and the continued operation of the platform. We may use Google AdSense and other approved advertising partners for this purpose.

Clear separation from petition content

Advertising must remain clearly distinguishable from petition text, signature controls, moderation tools, public counters, and support content. We do not present adverts as government responses, official endorsements, or petition actions.

No deceptive or incentivised ad engagement

We do not ask users to click adverts, reward users for engaging with adverts, or intentionally position ad units to cause accidental clicks. Invalid traffic, scripted interactions, or artificial inflation of impressions or clicks is prohibited.

Personalised advertising and consent

Where required by law, personalised advertising is controlled through our consent tools. Users can review or change their ad-related consent choices at any time through Manage Consent, Google Ad Settings, and the UK control options at Your Online Choices.

Third-party advertising technology

Third-party vendors, including Google, may use cookies and similar technologies to serve and measure ads based on prior visits to this and other websites. More detail is available in our Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy.
